PERSONALITY - Quiet and reserved to people he doesn't know, approaching cynical after centuries of being alive. If someone catches his eye, however, he can be quite flirtatious, but non-committal. Only warms up to people he cares about, and when he does, he's quite warm. He dislikes confrontation, rather opting to avoid it if at all possible. Bringing up Huehuecoyotl is a good way to get him flared up, however.

BACKSTORY
Born during the days of the Mexica empire, Tezcacoatl lived an unremarkable life, until he was branded for sacrifice after losing in the sacred ball game of the Aztecs. Fearing for his life, Tezcacoatl ran away from the city under the cover of night. He wandered for many days and nights in the nearby jungle. Within inches from death and ravaged by the guilt of abandoning his town, a vision came to him. That of the god of rain Tlaloc, blue skinned and massive. Tezcacoatl heard promises of paradise if he was to be sacrificed, of a paradise where all his needs would be met and he would know no pain. Revitalized, Tezcacoatl rushed back to the city.
He was quickly taken in and prepared for sacrifice in the name of Tlaloc. And as he was laid on top of the temple, he saw Tlaloc hovering above him with a kind look on his face. His heart was carved out with the sacrificial knife and as his vision faded, he saw the image of Tlaloc distort and shift... Blue skin gave way to brown fur and the kind smile to a mocking sneer. The trickster god, Huehuecoyotl revealed his true form and took the man's heart. As life slipped from him, Tezcacoatl's last living thought was that he had been tricked. There would be no paradise for him.
He awoke in Mictlan, the underworld for those who weren't worthy of paradise. For the next four years, Tezcacoatl traveled through the nine stages of the underworld, surviving such dangers as mountains that dashed against eachother, arrows shot out of mountains and razor-sharp winds that would slice the flesh. After the long and perilous journey, Tezcacoatl came upon the Lords of the Underworld, Mictlantecuhtli and his wife, Mictecacihuatl. Although usually uninterested in the affairs of mortals, Mictlantecuhtli took pity on Tezcacoatl, and granted him supernatural powers to recover his heart from the trickster god.
Although donned powers to battle a god, Huehuecoyotl has eluded him for hundreds of years, and without his heart, Tezcacoatl is cursed to roam the Earth. Adopting the name of Tulio Cruzado, he tries to make the most of his unnatural life without forgetting his ultimate goal. But he can feel Huehuecoyotl nearby, always taunting him, always out of reach...

POWERS AND ABILITIES
Granted by Mictlantecuhtli, his abilities resemble the Lords of the Night of Aztec mythology.
Fire Manipulation - Resembling the hellfire of a Christian demon, his ability to create and manipulate attacks fiery in nature is inspired from the god of fire, Xiuhtecuhtli.
Teleportation - Originally limited to a few dozen meters around him, this ability has grown to a few thousand meters, able to teleport to anywhere in the world through successive "jumps". Leaving behind a telltale puff of smoke, this ability comes from the god of night, Tezcatlipoca.
Healing - The attribute of the Prince Lord, Piltzintecuhtli, he can heal minor injuries in seconds, but major injuries such as dismemberment or decapitation take hours or even days.
Raise Corn - Associated with the maize god Centeotl, he has the strange ability to make corn grow. He did not ask for this.
Illusion Awareness - Granted by Mictlantecuhtli himself to dispel the illusions of Huehuecoyotl, Tulio must first consciously activate this ability, and thus can be caught off guard. Requires a high level of mental concentration, often lost in battle.
Jade skin - The goddess of the jade skirt, Chalchiuhtlicue, grants him the ability to cover his skin in impenetrable jade for short durations of time.
Corruption and Decay - The ability to spread deadly disease and corruption through large, open wounds with a single touch, taken from the goddess of filth, Tlazolteotl.
Jaguar Warrior - A sort of second form, Tulio acquires quicker reflexes, agility and strength, equipped with shield and sword, hearkening back to the jaguar warriors of the Aztec Empire and the god of jaguars, Tepeyollotl. A more subdued version is sprouting obsidian claws. Seldomly used because he rarely pushes himself.
Lightning - Reminiscent of the god of storms Tlaloc, the ability to emit lightning out of his fingers is one that's seldomly used and mostly as a surprise attack, draining him of energy rather quickly.
???? - TLAMICTITEOTL, THE GODKILLER.
